Air accident inspectors have spoken to all six passengers from one of the helicopters involved in an incident on a South Island glacier.

One helicopter clipped another as it was landing at the Tyndall Glacier in Mount Aspiring National Park and rolled on its side on Monday.

The pilot of the landing helicopter is in Dunedin Hospital with serious head injuries.

On Thursday investigators will inspect the wreckage in storage in Wanaka and will talk to more company representatives on Friday.
