The chief executive of the Education Review Office, Graham Stoop, is moving to a senior management role at the Education Ministry.
The ministry announced on Wednesday the appointment of three deputy secretaries, including Dr Stoop who will be responsible for graduate achievement, vocations and careers.
Two other ministry staff have been promoted to deputy secretary roles.
Lisa Rodgers will become deputy secretary for evidence data and knowledge, and Dr Andrea Schöllmann will take up a position as deputy secretary for education system performance.
