A seven-year-old boy hit by a school bus is in a critical condition in Nelson Hospital.
The boy was on his way to school when he was hit in the Nelson suburb of Atawhai at 8am on Thursday.
St John Ambulance says the boy has multiple fractures and internal injuries.
No one else was injured, although some of the children on the bus are said to have been shaken by the accident.
