Two kiwifruit per day improve your mood and energy

Research from the University of Otago in Christchurch has found eating two kiwifruit each day can improve a person's mood and give them extra energy.

The study followed 54 young male university students whose vitamin C levels were low because they ate little fresh fruit.

It indicated that those who ate two kiwifruit daily experienced significantly less fatigue and depression, and felt they had more energy than those who didn't.

Professor Margreet Vissers, who headed the research, said the changes appear to be related to the high doses of vitamin C in kiwifruit.

She said the study provides good evidence that there are measurable health benefits from eating a good amount of fruit and vegetables daily.
