A firefighter was taken to Christchurch hospital after cutting himself while at a house fire on Wednesday morning.
The Fire Service was called to the house, in the suburb of Richmond, shortly before 3am. Three occupants also needed to be taken to hospital for treatment.
The Fire Service was also called to another house fire, in Manchester Street near the corner of Salisbury Street just after 7am.
