Anti-violence group happy with Warriors partnership

Anti-violence organisation Shine says it won't be reviewing its partnership with rugby league team the Warriors, which is co-owned by Sir Owen Glenn.

Sir Owen withdrew his application to become an ambassador for the White Ribbon anti-violence campaign following revelations of an abuse case in Hawaii more than a decade ago.

His no-contest plea to the abuse charge resulted in an agreement that resolved the case in 2004.

Shine's executive director Jane Drumm says its fundraiser partnership with the Warriors, which began in 2011, pre-dates Sir Owen's ownership of the team.

Sir Owen has been a co-owner of the club since March 2012.
