Taihape company exports inflatable boats

A Taihape company is exporting 1000 inflatable boats overseas each year.

Incept Marine started by making inflatable yacht tenders but soon expanded to inflatable boats for whitewater rafting and rescue boats.

Founder John Booth says exports now make up two thirds of the orders.

He told Country life it's the quality of the New Zealand product that attracts international interest, rather than price.
