The price of petrol and diesel has increased by 5 cents a litre at four of New Zealand's major petrol retailers on Wednesday.
Shell, Mobil, BP and Caltex are now selling 91 octane petrol for $1.68.9 cents a litre, while diesel is $1.06.9 cents per litre.
Alan Bailey of Mobil says the prices starting moving on Tuesday, mainly due to the increased cost of importing fuel.
