A Southland man who was overdue on a hunting trip has walked out of the bush.
The 38-year-old from Riversdale was in the Piano Flat area of Southland.
Police in Gore sent a team to look for him on Monday morning.
A spokesperson said he had fallen down a bluff and lost his gun but managed to walk out of the bush uninjured.
