Police are investigating an aggravated robbery at a service station Nelson.
They say a man walked into the Caltex garage in Bishopdae about 7.30pm on Sunday and threatened the sole attendant with a weapon before demanding cash.
The staff member followed procedure and handed over a quantity of cash before calling the police.
Police say it was a particularly brazen attack, with the offender making no attempt to mask his appearance.
