Dunedin's refurbished Town Hall opens on Wednesday in a quiet civic ceremony.
For the past two years, the building and the associated Dunedin Centre have been stripped back and reworked at a cost of $40 million.
Dunedin City Council property manager Robert Clark said the Town Hall is now a top-class venue and first-grade convention centre.
Mayor Dave Cull will officially open the hall and people will get to see inside for the first time on Anzac Day.
