A cyclist who was the subject of a road rage incident is in a stable condition in Rotorua Hospital with a broken collarbone and suspected pelvic injuries.
A driver has been charged with assaulting the cyclist in Taupo.
The cyclist was on a training ride for the Ironman event, to be held at the weekend.
Police want to hear from any witnesses, including the driver of a car overtaken by a silver Toyota Hilux, shortly before the incident.
