Police in Auckland are looking for a silver coloured Subaru stationwagon with front panel damage in connection with the death of a pedestrian.
A man was hit in the suburb of Waterview at about 1.20am on Wednesday.
Great North Road between the motorway and Oakley Avenue is closed and diversions are in place.
