Charges have been dropped against one of the men accused of desecrating Jewish graves in Auckland.
Nathan Symington, 22, unemployed was one of three men charged with wilful damage after the incident at the Symonds Street cemetery in October this year.
At least 20 headstones were defaced or damaged, with some spray-painted with anti-semitic slogans.
Police on Monday said there is insufficient evidence against Mr Symington so the charge will be withdrawn.
Prosecutions of the other two accused will continue.
