A man has been airlifted to hospital after falling into the blowhole at Muriwai Beach, west of Auckland.
The St John Ambulance service says the man, in his 30s, fell in the blowhole just before 5pm on Sunday.
He was winched from the hole by the rescue helicopter.
He was taken to Auckland Hospital with leg injuries.
