Police investigating the suspicious death of a woman in Upper Hutt last week are seeking more help from the public.

Mary Donnelly, 38, was found dead in her Ebdentown Street flat by family members last Thursday night.

Police have received a number of calls from people who saw Mrs Donnelly the day before, when she went to Lower Hutt.

Detective Senior Sergeant Dave Thornton said they still don't know her movements from about 4pm on Wednesday until the following evening, when she was discovered.

Mrs Donnelly had an intellectual disability but was living independently in her flat.
