Name suppression has been lifted for a couple accused of internal fraud at the Ministry of Social Development.
Laki Scanlan, 43, a former case manager at the ministry's New Lynn branch in West Auckland, and his wife, Jessica Scanlan, 39, face 11 charges relating to the theft of $210,000 over seven years.
The ministry accuses them of using the names of family members to defraud the Department of Work & Income.
The charges date from 2004 to March of this year.
They will appear in Waitakere District Court in August,.
