Police say a teenager has been killed by a train in Matamata in the Waikato district.
They say the boy, 15, was hit by the train at about 3pm on Wednesday.
The police serious crash unit and investigators are at the scene.
It is the fourth person to be fatally struck by a train in the last two months.
