Fog which affected flights to and from Auckland airport on Tuesday morning has lifted and the backlog is beginning to be cleared.
Twenty one flights were canceled and 13 were delayed or rescheduled.
Auckland International Airport Ltd says it can take a few hours to clear the backlog after a morning of fog.
It expects between 12 - 16 days during winter where low visibility disrupts flights.
