Petrol prices moving up again

1:18 pm on 6 July 2012

All but one of the country's main petrol retailers have increased their prices.

Most companies are charging $1.999 a litre for 91 octane.

Prices had dropped further below $2 a litre two weeks ago.

Petrol companies say the volatile oil market means prices are likely to change constantly over the next few weeks.

Gull is the only retailer that has not lifted prices and is still charging $1.929 a litre.

Retail manager Graham Stirk says it will wait a few more days to see if the oil price continues to rise.
