Veteran broadcaster Paul Holmes is off life support after undergoing heart surgery last week.
His employers at The Radio Network said on Monday the 62-year-old was progressing well, sitting up in bed and chatting with family.
He was in a stable condition and is expected to leave Intensive Care on Monday.
