The driver who died after his truck plunged into the Rangitikei River, near Taihape, on Monday has been named.
He was Richard Tonneycliffe, 47, of Taihape.
Police divers recovered Mr Tonneycliffe from his truck on Tuesday.
A salvage operation has subsequently been completed and the truck and trailer units removed from the river.
