Christchurch police have released security camera images of a man they want to speak to over a possible attempted abduction at Beckenham School.
[image:4975:half:right]A man had reportedly been watching two 12-year-old girls playing at the grounds on Monday, before grabbing one by the arm and asking her to come with him.
Detective Sergeant Phill Sparks says the girl managed to break free of the man's grip and called the police.
Mr Sparks says several people were on the school grounds at the time of the incident, about 12.20pm.
Police would like to identify the man in the footage, or for the man to come forward so he can be ruled out of enquiries.
He is described as caucasian, about 1.8 metres tall, of medium build with very short brown or blond hair.
