Ruling awaited in Bridgecorp trial

A High Court judge will deliver his ruling on Thursday in the trial of three former directors of the failed finance company Bridgecorp.

Bridgecorp collapsed in 2007 owing investors more than $450 million.

Directors Rod Petricevic, Robert Roest, and Peter Steigrad have pleaded not guilty to a number of fraud-related charges.

The Crown says they knew the company was failing, but issued documents suggesting otherwise.

It also says the directors told staff to lie by blaming a computer glitch for missing investor payments.

Throughout the trial, the directors have sought to distance themselves from the day-to-day running of the company.
