Teenager admits accessory charge over death

A teenager charged with being an accessory to the murder of Hayden Miles in Christchurch has pleaded guilty to an alternative charge.

Hayden Miles, who was 16, went missing in August last year and the police recovered his remains in an unmarked grave in a Linwood cemetery in December.

The teenager appeared in court today charged with being an accessory to culpable homicide, and will be sentenced in May.

No date has yet been set for the trial of the man charged with carrying out the murder.
