Organisers estimate that about 70,000 walkers, runners and wheelchair athletes took part in Auckland's annual Round the Bays event on Sunday.
The proceeds from the 8.4km fun run, which started on Quay Street in the central city and finished at St Heliers Bay, will go to charity.
Jono Jackson from the Auckland City Athletics Club was the first man to cross the finish line in 28 minutes and four seconds.
In the women's race, Lisa Robertson from the Pakuranga Athletics Club was nearly five minutes ahead of her closest rival in a time of 29 minutes and 19 seconds.
