Mike Dawson has qualified for the semi-finals of the men's K1 kayak event at the London Olympics.
The New Zealander was in 8th place after the first run of the slalom and remained there after the second run with a best score of 88.58.
The top 15 kayakers qualify for the semi-finals.
Germany's Aigner Hannes qualified first with the best score of 83.49 followed by Spain's Samuel Hernanz.
The semi-finals will be held on Wednesday.
