The former England cricket captain Michael Vaughan says the side's current coach Peter Moores should be sacked and put in charge of the "kids" after the team's failure to progress past the World Cup's group stage.

Moores has come under intense criticism since England's loss to Bangladesh on Monday condemned them to an early return from the World Cup, and Vaughan says his talents have been wasted.
Vaughan says Moore is a good coach, but the World Cup is about player management, and he started the tournament by picking a test match batting line-up for one day cricket.
Vaughan says a number of talented England players who had been involved in Big Bash cricket were ignored.
Moores has been the England coach for almost a year and is due to lead the side in its upcoming home Ashes series in July.
Meanwhile, the former England batsman Mark Butcher said England cricket fans should "hide behind the sofa" rather than watch an Ashes slaughter this year.
Butcher, who played in 71 Tests for England, said 2015 could prove to be a chastening experience for Peter Moores' side.
"I'm afraid with the team that we have at the moment, and the way things are at the moment, they (New Zealand) are going to give us an absolute hiding," he said.
"And then when Australia come, just don't watch, hide behind the sofa. Because I can see it being an absolutely dreadful six-to-eight months or so of cricket for England and I'm sorry to have to say that."
England have won only one series in six across all formats since Moores was appointed in April 2014.
