Power cut after 4.3 aftershock

Electricity was cut to parts of Christchurch after a magnitude 4.3 aftershock hit the city.

The quake occurred at about 12.15pm on Monday, and was a depth of 9 kilometres, centred within 5 kilometres of Christchurch.

Power company Orion says electricity was cut in the northern suburbs of Belfast and Brooklands but has since been restored.
