Federated Farmers Farmy Army volunteers will be back out with their shovels, barrows, trucks and diggers in Christchurch from Saturday, helping with the cleanup of silt and sludge.
It is a combined effort, being co-ordinated with Christchurch City Council, Fulton Hogan, City Care and the Student Volunteer Army.
The city council is asking also for as many residents as possible to join the cleanup effort, with volunteers to register at the A&P Showgrounds from 7am on Saturday.
