Some businesses in Christchurch say lower customer numbers since the February earthquake is the biggest issue they face.
A survey conducted for business support agency Recover Canterbury has found that, three months on, most businesses are losing income.
While 95% of those surveyed are operating again, 43% identified a lack of customers as their main concern.
Brigette Unwin from Piko Wholefoods says that matches her experience. Sales had dropped by about 30% since the ship moved from its central city site to the suburb of Richmond.
The other major issue highlighted in the survey is a lack of adequate insurance cover or clarity over what was covered.
