Presbyterian church counts quake damage

The Presbyterian Church says the Canterbury earthquake caused damage damage to 28 of its properties, which will cost about $8 million.

Moderator Peter Cheyne says insurance claims are still being processed but the buildings will eventually be repaired.

In the mean time, he says, services are being held in halls and some parishes are joining with congregations whose churches escaped damaged.
