Survivors and families meet ahead of inquest

Survivors and the families of the 115 victims from the CTV building's collapse in February 2011 are meeting on Friday in Christchurch before the inquest reconvenes.

The inquest is being conducted by Coroner Gordon Matenga and is looking in particular into six victims who were known to be alive after the building collapsed, but were unable to be rescued.

The inquest begins on 29 October and is expected to take several weeks.

An inquest also held last year was adjourned, pending further investigation and no ruling has been released.
