The NZX 50 was down 16 points to 3303 on a turnover of $88 million at 5.40pm on Monday.
The New Zealand dollar was trading at 83.50 US cents, 78.14 Australian cents, 52.61 pence, 67.80 Yen, 0.6207 euro and the Trade Weighted Index stood at 73.51.
Fletcher Building was unchanged at $6.40, Telecom was down 1 cent to $2.15, Chorus was up 1 cent at $3.22.
Sky City Entertainment was down 12 cents to $3.70, Sky Television was down 1 cent to $5.17.
Tower was up 1 cent to $1.47. Contact Energy was down 4 cents to $4.79. Port of Tauranga down 5 cents to $10.95.
Air New Zealand was up 1 cent to $0.87.
