Stocks on Wall Street were little changed on Wednesday, after soft Eurozone data offset an encouraging housing report in the United States.
The Dow Jones Index was down 45 points, or 0.3%, to 12,918.
The Nasdaq Composite was down 15 points, or 0.5%, to 2933.
European markets closed flat, with the FTSE 100 in London index down 0.2%, the DAX in Frankfurt down 0.93% and the CAC-40 in Paris down 0.54%.
Brent crude oil was trading at $US124.64 cents per barrel and gold was trading at $US1754.40 per ounce.
