The NZX50 closed up 10 points to 3325 on turnover of $109 million dollars on Wednesday.
In the currency markets at 5.10pm, the Kiwi was trading at 83.55 US cents, 77.43 Australian cents, 52.57 pence, 64.34 yen and 0.6308 euro.
The Trade Weighted Index was at 73.08.
Fletcher Building was up 7 cents to $6.61, Telecom was up half a cent to $2.15, Chorus was up 2 cents at $3.32 and Contact was down 3 cents at $4.77.
Sky City Entertainment was up 3 cents at $3.49 and Sky Television down 9 cents at $5.13.
Tower was up 6 cents at $1.51.
Port of Tauranga was up 10 cents at $10.70.
Hallenstein Glasson was up 8 cents to $3.63, The Warehouse was down 8 cents to $2.80 and Pumpkin Patch was unchanged at 78 cents.
OceanaGold was down 5 cents at $3.15.
