The NZX50 index rose 6 points to 3218 on Monday on turnover of $43 million.
In currency markets, at 5.20pm on Monday the NZ dollar was at 75 US, 76.32 Australian, 48.33 pence, 58.25 yen, 0.5647 euro, and the Trade Weighted Index stands at 67.15.
Telecom was up 4 cents at $1.975 and Chorus rose 2c to $3.31 after listing last week.
Fletcher Building increased 1c to $5.87 and Contact Energy dropped 6c to $5.25.
Sky City Entertainment was down 4c at $3.26, while Sky Network TV dropped 5c at $5.38.
Fisher & Paykel Appliances remained unchanged at 36c, and Fisher & Paykel Healthcare was up 3c at $2.37.
Auckland Airport increased 2.5c to $2.305, while Air New Zealand remained unchanged at 96.5c.
Tower was up 3c to $1.50.
Pumpkin Patch was unchanged at 64c, Restaurant Brands rose 7c to $2.15, and The Warehouse was unchanged at $3.17.
Speirs Group remained unchanged at 10c after telling investors that at best, it expects to break even this year.
