Nestle Health Science has taken a stake in the Auckland-based company, Vital Foods.

Vital makes kiwifruit-based digestive health products, including Kiwi Crush and Phloe.

Companies Office documents show the Nestle subsidiary paid $7.5 million for an 18% stake in the firm.

Vital Foods chief executive Gursh Bindra says the partnership will help the firm to expand its international footprint.
