A leading economics forecaster predicts that next week's federal budget in Australia will be $A10 billion worse than previously forecast.
Deloitte Access Economics expects the budget to be $A51 billion in the red this year.
It then predicts a deficit $A22 billion for the next year before a surplus of $A710 million in 2012/13.
Economist Chris Richardson says the global financial crisis is still having a negative impact and recent natural disasters will continue to be a burden in the next financial year.
He says the impact of the summer disasters will be $A6 billion.
Federal Finance Minister Penny Wong says the report reflects some of the things the government has been saying.
The budget is to be delivered on 10 May.
