NZ and Australian markets up

The New Zealand stock market was up on Friday morning.

At 1.43pm, the NZX 50 index was up 6 points to 3393 on turnover of over $60 million.

Fletcher Building was up 3 cents to $8.98, Telecom was down 1c to $1.98 and Contact Energy was up 3c at $5.81. Air New Zealand was down 1c at $1.09.

Hallenstein Glasson was up 2 cents to $3.75 and The Warehouse was down 1c at $3.42.

Sky City Entertainment was unchanged at $3.34 and Sky TV was up 5c to $5.58

Goodman Fielder was up 5c to $1.63. Postie Plus was up 1c to 28c after narrowing its half year loss. Manfreight was down 4c to $8.75.

Across the Tasman, the ASX 200 index was up 28 points, or 0.6%, to 4727.

The New Zealand dollar was trading at 75.00 US cents, 73.53 Australian cents, 46.55 pence, 60.79 yen and 0.5292 euro. The Trade Weighted Index was at 65.64.
