Two Asian companies have taken a strategic stake in the natural healthcare group, Comvita.
Comvita's agent in China, GPE, and its South Korean distribution partner, Aju Pharm, have each bought half a million shares in the company for $2 per share.
Their $2 million investment gives the companies a combined stake of just over 3.5%.
Chief executive Brett Hewlett says the board has had many approaches from Asian parties wanting to invest in the company.
Shares in Comvita are unchanged at $1.90 on Thursday.
