NZ and Australian markets down again

The New Zealand sharemarket declined again on Friday morning.

At 12.30pm, the NZX50 index was down 15 points to 3213 on turnover of $44 million.

Fletcher Building was down 7 cents to $8.55, Telecom was down 1c to $2.02 and Contact Energy was down 3c to $5.70.

Auckland International Airport Ltd was down 2c to $2.06 and Fisher & Paykel Healthcare was up 3c to $3.05.

Sky City Entertainment was down 2c to $2.92 and Sky Network Television was down 5c to $5.15.

New Zealand Oil & Gas was down 2c to $1.28. Nuplex was down 3 cents to $3.41.

The Warehouse was down 5c to $3.78, Kathmandu was up 1c to $1.78 and Postie Plus Group was unchanged at 32c.

Across the Tasman, the Australian 200 index is down 42 points to 45 91.

The New Zealand dollar was trading at 72.85 US cents, 76.85 Australian cents, 46.46 pence, 61.56 yen and 0.5472 euro. The Trade Weighted Index was at 66.42.
