The NZX 50 index fell 30 points or 0.9% to 3153 during Friday morning trading, on turnover of $22 million.
At 12.30pm, Telecom fell 3 cents to $2.67, Fletcher Building was down 11 cents at $8.41 and Contact Energy was up 2 cents at $5.82
Infratil fell 2 cents to $1.65, Mainfreight was s down 8 cents at $5.41, Pumpkin Patch was unchanged at $1.94 and The Warehouse fell 5 cents to $4.20.
Sky Television was down 13 cents to $4.65 and Sky City Entertainment fell 6 cents to $3.26.
In currency markets the dollar was trading at 71.41 US cents, 82.15 Australian, 44.86 pence, 63.96 yen, and 0.4913 euro. The TWI stood at 65.17.
