Australasian food group Goodman Fielder says next year is looking positive, despite commodities remaining volatile.

The goup's profit of $A177.1 million was more than times higher than last year's result, which was affected by writedown and restructuring costs.

Revenue rose almost 7% to $2.5 billion on a growth in sales of home ingredients and lower commodity costs.
