The New Zealand share market fell 28 points to close at 3053 on Thursday. Turnover was $67 million.
Top stocks were lower. Telecom was down 3 cents to $2.67, Fletcher Building fell 6c to $7.74 and Contact Energy lost 6c to $6.19.
Fisher & Paykel Appliances was down 1c to 79c. Sky City Entertainment Group slid 12c to $3.28.
Mainfreight was up 11c despite revealing a slump in profits for the three months to June.
Port Of Tauranga fell 5c to $6.50 despite a 7% increase in net profit for the year to June to $45.2 million.
