Vector has signed a long-term contract with New Zealand Oil & Gas to secure supplies of Liquid Petroleum Gas from the Kupe field.
The Kupe field is expected to begin production late next year. The agreement means Vector will get about 15,000 tonnes per annum
of LPG for at least 10 years.
The deal is conditional on the partners in the Kupe joint venture reaching agreement over the operational procedures for ensuring each party gets their fair share.
Vector already gets LPG from the Kapuni field, and says the agreement means it will not have to import LPG.
