Finzsoft confirms takeover offer

Finzsoft has confirmed the takeover offer proposed by its managing director and a Malaysian banking software firm will be priced at $3 per share.

The shares are currently trading at $4, suggesting that the bid from Andrew Holliday and Silverlake Axis is not intended to succeed.

Mr Holliday has sold his near 66 percent into a joint venture with Silverlake.

Air passenger numbers climb

The number of passengers travelling abroad is continuing to grow.

International Air Transport Association data shows international air passenger numbers climbed 3.6 percent in October, compared with a year ago.

It said several markets have improved, including the Far East and Europe.

The association said the outlook for international air travel remained positive, but a slowdown in China and the Eurozone could put downward pressure on demand in coming months.

Director appointed

Tourism Holdings has appointed Gráinne Troute to the board as a non-executive director from February.

The move follows the retirement of Graeme Bowker.
