21st Century Fox has sold its 47% stake in Star China TV, a Chinese television company.
Fox previously owned a majority stake in the firm but sold that in 2010 to China Media Capital.
Star China TV operates three Mandarin-language television stations.
The BBC reports China Media Capital will now take full control.
"We remain committed to building the company into one of the most respected entertainment companies in China," said chairman Ruigang Li in a statement.
21st Century Fox group was previously part of News Corporation until it split into two companies: one comprising the Fox studios and television entities and News Corp, which includes newspapers.
