Skellerup says it will continue to defend itself against what it says are unsubstantiated claims by Marley New Zealand, a PVC pipe maker.
Marley is seeking more than $7 million in damages from Skellerup, claiming rubber rings it bought from Skellerup to use as seals in its pipes between 2006 - 2009 did not meet Australian and New Zealand standards and were not watertight.
Skellerup said the value of the rubber rings supplied to order by Skellerup for a Marley irrigation system was less than $750,000.
