New Zealand Rugby has reported its first profit since 2008 after signing a new partnership with AIG insurance.
The organisation budgeted to break but posted a profit of $3.2 million compared with a $3 million loss last year.
The company unveiled a set of goals over the next four years including the All Blacks winning the next World Cup in 2015 and two Olympic gold medals in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.
It also wants to ensure rugby in New Zealand is financially healthy and well led, is the sport of choice in wider Auckland, brings communities together and that New Zealand rugby has a positive global presence.
